Second, we will be holding an evening event for those over 21 that may enjoy something dry or something sweet. Can you guess what it is? One more hint, it goes with cheese 😉

That’s right we will be hosting a wine tasting on July 21! More information will be available as we get closer, but we will tell you that there will be limited availability for this event. Let’s just say you will definitely want to keep your eye on the Facebook page for more info.

As you know, we love to host DIY and informational seminars. It gives us a chance to meet some of our customers on a more personal level and share our expertise. Our last announcement for today is to tell you we will be hosting MORE seminars and hands on classes, even adding some just for kids.

We have BIG things planned for Edward’s Garden Center this year. We hope you come out to support us and enjoy some family time!

On Saturday, Santa and Mrs. Claus will have a friend or two with them as they are bringing some of their reindeer… yes REAL LIVE reindeer. We are quite excited for this, as the kids just love seeing them! Remember the reindeer will be at the Garden Center Saturday ONLY.

Christmas carols by local singer Mackenzie Kiederding
You may not have heard of her, but we promise you will want to see her perform. Mackenzie is a local artist who tried out for a spot on The Voice. She will be performing Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 3pm.

Opening the winter habitat for the Garden Center pets
The weather has gotten chilly so many of our pets have moved into their winter home. The staff worked hard to build this new home this year so we can keep our pets at the Garden Center all year. Bring the kids to see our tortoise, iguanas and others in their new winter home.

Holiday Celebration at the Garden Center this Saturday!

Join us for a Holiday Celebration, this Saturday (Dec. 6) at Edward’s Garden Center!

Edward's Garden Center Holiday Celebration - Dec 6 2014 - Edward's Garden Center

To get you and the whole family into the holiday spirit, we have many events planned and special guests stopping by. The celebration starts at 9 a.m. and runs through 6 p.m.

Santa and two of his reindeer will be here to visit with all the kids and make sure each and everyone of them is on his nice list 😉 Kids and pets can also have their photo taken with Santa.

Entertainment will be provided by, the always popular, Dani-Elle. For those of you who haven’t been to one of the Garden Center events recently, this is Dani-Elle Kleha‘s fourth appearance.  She is a nationally known singer, from Jermyn Pa., who has two albums that she made in Nashville.  Anyone who attended our Christmas party last year or either of our Open House events this year, knows what a wonderfully entertaining young woman she is and can tell you, you don’t want to miss her performance.

Edward’s Garden Center, and owner Ed Kopec, are enthusiastic supporters of Blue Chip Animal Farms Animal Rescue. To help raise some funds for Blue Chip, Ed suggested an ornament contest. Everyone is invited to make an ornament for the Christmas tree. Anyone who brings an ornament will have the chance to win a $100 gift card to the Garden Center. The gift card will go to the creator of the best pet ornament, according to our staff.

Several food vendors will be ready to serve some delicious treats. Mrs. Fritz will be back with her homemade treats and hot soup will be available.

The highlight of the evening will happen at 5 p.m. when Nick and Tobey Kelly light the Christmas tree, in honor of all the pets in our area who have been adopted from Blue Chip.

This is a holiday party you don’t want to miss (and one that doesn’t require an ugly Christmas sweater lol)! If you need any ideas for creating your pet ornament, visit our Pinterest page.

Hope to see everyone at the Celebration on Saturday!
